Our History
MNSWCA.org was founded in 2023 by a group of Minnesota sci-fi and fantasy fans who wanted to share that passion along with their heart for children and families to the Northland. The organization works closely with the Minnesota Star Wars Collectors Alliance and other fan groups across the country to raise mental health awareness awarenes

The organization works closely with the Minnesota Star Wars Collectors Alliance and other fan groups across the country to raise mental health awareness awareness and support for children and family with physical and mental health needs.
Events
MNSWCA.org is proud to engage in community events with a focus on fun and family! Our sci-fi charity supports all sci-fi, fantasy, and geek-culture fandoms. We outreach at local and regional conventions, as well as partner with fan groups for other opportunities to share our passion for all things nerdy!

In 2024, MNSWCA.org was represented at Range Fan Con (Virginia, MN), Teeb Con (Duluth, MN), ICCC (Nashville, TN), Anime Fusion (Plymouth, MN) and Twin Cities Con (Minneapolis, MN).
2025 will see us at the Frozen Force (Hermantown, MN), Anime Detour (Minneapolis, MN), Range Fan Con (Virginia, MN), Excalibur Con (Duluth, MN), and Twin Cities Con (Minneapolis, MN).
Who we support!
MN Masonic Children's Clinic for Communication Disorders
The Minnesota Masonic Children's Clinic for Communication Disorders provides speech and language services to area families at no charge. They offer a fully array of services to help children gain receptive and expressive language skills, increase the ability to interact socially and better understand the world they live in.
Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation
To provide comfort and distraction from
painful procedures to children and teens
who have been diagnosed with cancer, by
providing gifts from a Treasure Chest.
MNSWCA.org Mental Wellness Scholarship Fund
MNSWCA.org Mental Wellness Scholarship Fund
MNSWCA.org has established a mental health scholarship to help local northern MN, northern WI, and northern MI mental health professionals gain further specialized training in order to help meet the needs in our communities.
